With the 2020 Charity Auction approaching on Friday, February 28th, the Community Services Committee hereby puts out the call for your contributions.
This year’s beneficiary is the Thunder Woman Healing Lodge, an initiative which supports First Nations, Inuit, and Métis women who are in conflict with the law and for those who have survived intergenerational trauma. They provide cultural support, traditional knowledge, and resources to empower these women to take their honoured place within their community and culture.
This year our Charity Auction will take place from 4:30pm – 6:15pm — during happy hour, with complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres — in advance the International Women’s High Table.
In the past, Masseyites have auctioned off goods and services that range from the purely practical to the hilariously useless to the wonderfully experiential.
What might you donate to the Charity Auction?!
Whether it be a musical serenade, a magic trick, a homemade dinner for two, a cottage weekend retreat, old socks — or even the offer to organize someone’s entire library alphabetically — every size and shape and persuasion of contribution is welcome.
If you would like to donate, please fill out this google form – https://forms.gle/N3jefzZ9AeZ8eZ6G6 – by Thursday, February 20th. If your donation is a physical item, please drop it off to the Porter’s Office between 8am and 9pm by Monday, February 24th.
The auction catalogue will be posted online prior to the event.
Thank you for your loyalty and continued support. Massey College is successful due to our shared sense of community and outreach. Let us, once again, pool our resources to support those around us.
Going once, going twice …!
