In Memoriam: Florence Richler

In Memoriam: Florence Richler

We are deeply saddened  by the passing of our Quadrangler Florence Richler, beloved wife and “editor in residence” of late Montreal novelist Mordecai Richler,. A warm and beautiful person, Florence frequently attended events at Massey and especially liked coming to the Book Club. died on Friday, January 10, 2020.

Sandra Martin, also a Quadrangler, wrote in the Globe and Mail: “A room always appeared brighter when Florence Richler swept in. She had the physical grace of a ballerina and the poise of a model, but it was her conversation that kept one enthralled.”
