How do I update my affiliation?

If you’d like to make a change to your affiliation, please contact directory@masseycollege.ca.

How do I edit my profile?

When you log in to your account, you will be directed to your profile page. Click the cog/gear icon underneath your cover photo, and select Edit Profile.  From this page you can:

  • Add/update your cover photo
  • Add/update your profile photo
  • Add or update additional information

 

Please make sure to click Update Profile to save your changes.

(Clicking the “check mark” at the top right of the page under your cover photo will also save your changes.)

How do I add my profile photo?
To add your profile photo, log in to your account and click Edit Profile. Click the camera icon over the default profile photo and select Upload Photo. Click Upload and select a photo from your computer. Position the image as desired and click Apply.

Your profile photo will update immediately. If you have any trouble uploading a photo, please contact us: directory@masseycollege.ca
Can I change my profile cover photo?

Yes! From the edit profile screen (see q+a above), click the camera icon in the cover photo section. Click Change Cover Photo and upload one of your choosing.

Where can I update my main email address?

To access your account information, please click the cog/gear icon underneath your cover photo. (If you only see a check mark in this location, please click it to save your profile. The cog will then appear.)

Click My Account. From this page you can edit your email address and/or correct or update your first and last name.

How do I change my password?
To change your password, click the cog icon underneath your cover photo and select My Account. (If you see a check mark instead of a cog, click the check mark to save your profile.) On your account page, you can now select Change Password from the left menu.

From here, enter your current password and then add your new one. Click Update Password to save.
What if I want my profile to be private?
If you would like your profile to be private (this would mean other members will not be able to find you in the directory), you will need to change the settings in your account.

To access your account information, please click the cog/gear icon underneath your cover photo. (If you only see a check mark in this location, please click it to save your profile. The cog will then appear.)

Click My Account. From the left sub-menu, click Privacy. From this page, under Hide from profile from directory, click yes, and then click the Update Privacy button to save your changes.

You will also notice that under Profile Privacy, you can choose “Only me“. By selecting this (as opposed to what is described above), other members will be able to search and find your profile, but if clicked on, they will be redirected.
Can I make some of my information private?

Yes you can! There are only a few required fields on your profile, so for information that you don’t want other members to see – please leave these field(s) blank.



For required information, such as your phone number and email addresses, we have included separate fields for private versus public information. If you would like members to view your phone number and/or email, please fill in the fields marked “Phone Number (Public)” and/or “Email Address (Public)“. If you want this information to be private, please leave these fields blank.

Why can’t I find someone in the database?
First, please ensure you are spelling their name correctly when searching. If they still do not appear in the search results, it could be that they’ve chosen to keep their profile private.

What information can I add to my profile?
Your profile is your opportunity to introduce yourself to your fellow Massey community members.

That said, in your profile you can include your bio, skills, achievements, and qualifications.
How do I add/change my discipline?
From your profile page, you can select your discipline from a drop-down menu. (If yours is missing, please let us know: directory@masseycollege.ca)

You can also add a longer description if you would like, in the box below.
I found someone in the directory, but when I click on their profile, I am redirected to the home page. Why is that?

If a member has selected to keep their profile searchable but private, you will be able to find them in the directory – but you will not be able to click through to view their information.
